my new books

Payday.
I should be saving money for my holiday, but I have been so poor since Christmas.
I just. Want. To spend.
I started off trying to be good. I went round all my local charity shops but there just wasn't anything in there that interested me.
Then, as I walked past my local Waterstones, I saw the sign like an illuminated billboard in my mind.
"20% off this weekend!"
"Shall we go in?" my boyfriend said.
He hardly needed to persuade me.

If you're friends with me on Goodreads, you might have noticed every now and then I go off on one, and add lots of books to my want-to-read list.
Whilst browsing in Waterstones, I found some of those books..

I was scouring for books, waiting for a cover to jump out at me, when I saw The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, a book I'd seen lots of people talk about and knew I wanted to pick up. That was when my Goodreads list had come into my mind, and my boyfriend had said he had wanted to read The Knife Of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, so I ran to the other side of the bookshop and picked it up. He asked me if I could get it him for Valentine's Day, which was sweet because he's not a big book reader and is trying to get more into them.

I picked up Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell about a week and a half ago, and at that time there hadn't been any other books of hers in there, but today there were piles of Fangirl books waiting for me to pick them up (I tell myself). I also then saw this version of The Book Thief, which has an alternate cover to the one I had initially picked up, and decided to get this one because I got the Buy One Get One Half Price deal, which I love so much in Waterstones.

Just realised that so many posts of mine have been about books lately, HOPEFULLY, I'll have some fashion orientated posts coming your way soon, and a post about my move.

Are you a big book reader?
What other posts would you like to see me make?
Let me know below!

  2. I'm trying to get into reading books more! Since I've started blogging, I've been reading blogs at least...! Haha getting there, getting there ;)
I just took out Elegance by Kathleen Tessaro from the library and am going to start that soon though! I also have been looking at the Bridget Jones books & I Heart series by Lindsey Kelk! .... Apparently there seems to be a theme in the books I choose haha

Hope the books you got end up being good ones! :)

    1. reading blogs is definitely a start, and taking books out from the library encourages you to read, because you know you only have a specific time until you have to give it back. You'll have to let me know how you get on with the book!

  3. Gah Chaos Walking! Hold onto your feels. I still haven't read The Book Thief either and I keep promising myself I will. I've heard wonderful things about Fangirl and I LOVED E&P. Happy reading!

    1. I'm so excited to read them all! I haven't finished Eleanor & Park yet, I have a feeling its going to have a sad ending, and I don't want it to! Fangirl looks so good, I can't want to start reading it.
